1. Overview

This policy describes what data Alke Arc collects, why, and how it is handled. Alke Arc is operated by George Longovitis. We collect very little data and do not sell or share it.

2. What we collect

Subscription and payment data (via Stripe)
When you subscribe, your email address and payment are handled by Stripe. We do not store your payment details. Stripe's own privacy policy governs that transaction. We store your email and subscription tier in our database solely to manage your access.

Account data (via Supabase)
We store your account record, email, subscription tier, and active status in our database (Supabase) to validate your access. If you save a name in Settings, we store that too, so it can pre-fill the name field on your cards. This data is retained for as long as your account exists. You may request deletion at any time.

Personal card history (via Supabase)
Each time you download a card, we store a record of that card — the date, your logged reps, distance, and duration, and the exercise names you entered — so we can show you your personal history, streaks, and stats in Settings. This is separate from the anonymous global counter described below, which is never tied to your account.

You can stop this at any time — toggle "Data Measuring" off in Settings, and no further card history is recorded. This doesn't erase what's already stored; to delete existing history, contact us (see below) and we'll remove it.

Workout screenshot analysis (via OpenAI)
When you use the Import feature, your image is sent to OpenAI (GPT-4o mini) for workout data extraction. We do not store the image. OpenAI may retain it for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, after which it is deleted. Your data is not used to train OpenAI's models. Extracted text is used solely to pre-fill your workout log and is not retained on our servers.

AI-generated images (via fal.ai)
When you use the AI Create feature, your text prompt is sent to fal.ai to generate an image. No personal data is included in the prompt. fal.ai may retain prompt data briefly per their own policy. Generated images are not stored on our servers. fal.ai's own privacy policy governs that processing.

Anonymous usage analytics (via Vercel Analytics)
We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, cookieless page view statistics, page visits, country-level location, device type, and referrer. No personal data is collected or stored. This cannot be used to identify you.

Global workout counter
When you generate a card, aggregate workout totals (reps, km, mi, minutes) are added to a single shared counter displayed on the landing page. This counter is not linked to your identity in any way.

3. What we do not collect

We do not collect health data, exercise records, biometrics, or any information about how you use the app beyond what is listed above. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising. We do not sell or share your data with anyone except the sub-processors listed below.

4. Sub-processors

Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing
Supabase — account, subscription, and personal card history data storage
Vercel — hosting and anonymous analytics
OpenAI — workout screenshot analysis (Import feature). Images processed transiently. OpenAI may retain data for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring only. Data is not used for model training.
fal.ai — AI background image generation (AI Create feature). No personal data included in prompts.
Cloudflare R2 — background image hosting (no personal data)

5. GDPR

If you are in the European Union, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us and we will respond within 30 days. The personal data we hold is: your email, subscription record, optional saved name, and personal card history — all of which can be deleted on request. You can also stop new card history from being collected at any time via the "Data Measuring" toggle in Settings, without needing to contact us.

6. Cookies

Alke Arc does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Your session token is stored in your browser's localStorage solely to keep you logged in. Vercel Analytics is cookieless by design.

7. Children's privacy

Alke Arc is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
